The central "lattice" design is one that has been attributed to the Beshire Tribe. It is related to the ancient Mina Khani design found in various antique and modern carpets. In this carpet, in combination with the abrash of the background pile color, the design gives a tremendous feeling of depth to the carpet. It is woven with all hand-spun, naturally dyed wools for pile;  while the warp and weft are undyed, hand-spun wool.
