Afghanistan An extremely fine weave in what is an appealing variation on an ancient Turkoman motif. The motifs and weave indicate a weaver descendant of the Tekke clan. The pile areas of the golden-cream and ivory color are silk, with the other colors being hand-spun wool. The dyes all appear to have come from natural/vegetal sources. The warp is an ivory silk and the weft is both ivory and a soft coral, as seen in the flat weave web ends of the rug. Every Oriental rug, carpet or weaving presented here is guaranteed to satisfy the purchaser or a refund will be made upon return of the purchased item(s) to our location in Ashland, OR 97520.
